Eyelash Services

The Lash Loft specializes in eyelash extensions, which are individual strands of faux lashes expertly attached to each natural eyelash with a special adhesive. We offer "Natural" and "Glamour" looks with various lash extension set application options available. We only use the highest quality faux lashes available on the market today.

We also offer lash tints, lash perms, and lash lifts as options. Our expert technicians can add color with a tint treatment, curl your natural lashes with a perm treatment, or perform a keratin-infused lash lift treatment which provides length, thickness, and volume to your natural lashes. It gives you the appearance of having longer thicker natural lashes and is an excellent alternative to lash extensions.

Eyelash Extension Sets.

The Lash Loft "Classic" Set

With the "Classic" eyelash extension technique, we apply a single premium faux lash to each of your natural lashes. They are light in weight and soft to the touch. The concave shape at the base of the lash extension makes them adhere better and last longer. The results are simply stunning.

The Lash Loft "Hybrid" Set

With the "Hybrid" eyelash extension technique, we use a perfect 50/50 blend of our "Classic" lashes and our "Volume" fans. This new "Hybrid" set combines the classic single lash application technique with the volume application technique. The result is a fuller, fluffier, and more textured look.

The Lash Loft "Volume" Set

With the "Volume" eyelash extension technique, multiple lighter thinner lash extensions are fanned, staggered and stacked onto each natural lash which allows the technician to add significant volume. The "Volume" lashes offer clients a higher level of glamour options.

*** Each set is offered in either a "Natural" or "Glamour" look option and is tailored to each client's eye shape.

Other Eyelash Services.

The Lash Loft "Lash Tint"

Great for those with lighter color lashes (especially blondes!) - or anyone looking for a thicker "mascara" look (without having to wear mascara). A lash tint will make your lashes appear darker, thicker, and longer - and last for weeks.

The Lash Loft "Lash Perm"

Throw away your eyelash curler! Lash Perm is a semi-permanent treatment to create a long-lasting curl to naturally straight lashes. It opens up your eyes and is great for those with already thick full lashes who want some pop.

The Lash Loft "Lash Lift"

The Lash Lift is a keratin-infused lash enhancement treatment. It turns the eyelashes upwards and adds tint to give them length, height, volume, and the appearance of having longer and thicker lashes.

Eyelash extensions are individual strands of faux lashes expertly attached to each natural eyelash with a special medical grade adhesive.

The Lash Loft specializes in "Natural," and "Glamour" looks with various lash extension set application options available - "Classic,"  "Hybrid," & "Volume." Everything from naturally under-stated to extreme glamour is possible. It's all up to you.

We only use the highest quality faux lashes available on the market today. They range in thickness, curl shape, lash length, and durability.

We are proud to say that we have some of the most talented technicians in New York City and beyond on staff. They do some incredible work.

“Classic” lash technique - we adhere a single faux lash to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look.

“Volume” lash technique - we adhere "3D" or "5D" fans to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look.

"Hybrid" lash technique - we adhere a combination of single faux lashes and volume fans to as many natural lashes as required to achieve the desired look.

We do not "count" lashes like some other salons. Every person is unique. We apply as many lashes as required to achieve the look you desire. There is a range of different lash set options to choose from.

Upon arriving at The Lash Loft, your technician will discuss the "look" you desire. They will discuss lash type, lash thickness, curl shape, and suggest which works best for your eye. If you're new to lashes, we recommend that you trust your lash tech's judgment and relax for the service.

Everything from naturally under-stated to extreme glamour is possible – all up to you.

**Please plan to arrive at the salon 10 minutes before your appointment start time to facilitate the check-in process.

Before arriving for your appointment...
  • **Remove Eye Makeup. Makeup close to the eye area must be removed before the application process. We recommend using a mild, oil-free cleanser. Avoid oil-based makeup removers.
  • **Do not apply face creams or sunblock in the eye area. The oil found in many moisturizers prevents eyelash adhesive from bonding to the natural eyelash and reduces the longevity of your eyelash extensions.
  • **Do not wear mascara. Removing mascara can be very time-consuming, and any residual makeup will prevent proper application of the extensions.
  • **Do not curl your lashes before your appointment. Extensions will not adhere to crimped eyelashes.

The procedure can take anywhere from 30 minutes for a refill to 90 minutes for a full set depending on client desire.

The procedure is completely safe and non-intrusive – the faux lashes are applied to each natural eyelash and never in contact with the skin. Simply lay down in one of our comfortable beds and relax – listen to music, a book, or just nap (most popular!).

If cared for properly, eyelash extensions can last up to 5 weeks. We will provide you with the simple instructions you need. There are natural products that we believe in and recommend as well to help keep your natural lashes healthy and strong.

We recommend coming in every 2 to 3 weeks for maintenance refills.

DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA.

Waterproof mascara or any oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions, causing them to fall sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover.

The adhesive is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise, etc. We do recommend however that you do not wash your eye area for about 12- 24 hours after the eyelash application. Special care is required, but overall maintenance is low.

Be gentle with your lashes — no touching, rubbing, water, sweat, or steam for 24 hours.

Avoid running water directly on your lashes.

Avoid oily products (including some sunscreen products) on or near your lashes.

If you insist on mascara, only use water-based mascara and apply it middle to tip avoiding root area.

Use water-based eye makeup remover only!

Do not perm or curl your lashes.

Avoid sleeping on your new eyelashes.

Do not pull on your lashes – If you want them removed, please come back. We use a special removal agent that will protect your natural lashes.

Maintain extensions with regular touch up appointments.

Use a Lash Shampoo regularly to keep them clean - it will help them last longer.

The upper eyelid has approximately 90-150 eyelashes on it, while the bottom has between 70 – 80 eyelashes. Most eyelashes grow to be about 10mm long, just over 3/8 of an inch.

Three Phases of the Lash Growth Cycle...

Even though it may not seem like it, every hair on your body has a growth cycle. It will grow to a specific length and eventually reach its full cycle, and then fall out. There are three phases to all hair growth cycle, even eyelashes:

1. Active Growth Phase - Roughly 40% of the upper eyelashes are in active growth at any one time. This phase lasts 30 to 45 days.
2. Transitional Phase - During this phase, the eyelash stops growing, and the follicle shrinks. It lasts 2 to 3 weeks.
3. Resting Phase - This phase can last over 100 days before the eyelashes fall out.

Important Note: Each eyelash is in its own cycle, so there are some lashes in each phase at all times. As a result, most days at least a few eyelashes will fall out.

Do Eyelashes Grow Back?

Yes, they do, but it might take a couple of months before you see them especially if you have interrupted the natural growth cycle in some way. For example, if you pull your eyelashes out, you will be without any visible eyelashes for a while before they grow back and get to the resting phase.

If you have been pulling your eyelashes out, the hair still has to finish its growth cycle. A new one will not grow in any faster since the other hair was prematurely removed. Thus, potentially creating a less than full look for a while.

When you are wearing extensions, it's important not to pull or tug at them and put your natural lashes at risk.

However, do not fear. There are some excellent lash serums to help nurse your natural lash health back into shape!

How Long Will Extensions Last?

Realistically, eyelash extensions last four weeks, give or take a couple of weeks, falling out with the natural lash. Some will be lost within a couple of weeks as part of the natural cycle, so it is commonly required to get a refill every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain them.

Understanding the growth cycle of an eyelash is helpful to know. Since it's impossible to know which natural lash hairs are in which stage of the growth cycle, you should continually expect natural shedding to occur.

  • Eyelash Extensions need to be removed at least three days to 1 week before the appointment.
  • For best results do not use waterproof mascara or curl your lashes five days before your treatment.
  • No eye makeup the day of your appointment. For example, mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, etc.
  • Every client must fill out a waiver before starting treatment.

  • It’s recommended to wash your hair before your appointment because you may not for 48 hours afterward.
  • No water and mascara on the lashes for 24 hours after the treatment

Due to the inconsistent nature of lash and application quality, The Lash Loft can no longer offer refills on work performed by other salons.

The lashes must be removed, and a new set applied. We encourage new customers from other salons to take advantage of our first-time customer specials. Lash Removal is a separate additional fee.

If you are wearing lashes from another salon and require removal, please call the front desk to ensure there is enough time booked for the appointment to fulfill this requirement.

We work hard to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. All of our appointment confirmations are sent via text or email. Please honor your appointment.

Due to the high demand for appointments, The Lash Loft has initiated a 50% service fee penalty for late notice cancellations and a 100% service fee penalty for no-shows. If the affected service is part of a discounted series, then the service will be forfeited.

If you must cancel or reschedule, please do so at least six business hours before your appointment time to avoid these fees.

*** 10:00 AM appointments must be canceled six business hours in advance by 2:00 PM the previous day, not 4:00 AM on the day of the appointment.
